Ms Sirene Derrick from Alabama is the National Entrepreneurship & Job Placement Coordinator for Outreach Reentry Ministry, Inc & Black Wall Street USA Inmate Reentry & Recovery
Our Entrepreneurship and Job placement mission is to bridge the gap of unemployment to financial security and make a difference by providing high quality content and services through education that empowers the community www.blackwallstreet.org/redemptionproject
Our vision is to have locations in every community where people can come and create new opportunities using our curriculum.
Our Goal is to help individuals through our strategy and action plans that consist of:
* Analyzing their learning skills
* Designing a way to address the gap
* Developing materials and lessons plans
* Implementing the plans in the classroom
* Evaluating our success to insure that it works
* We want our students to become long term working citizens in our community
The Goal & Vision of the Stabilization Aftercare is designed to assist Ex-Offenders and their Family members. We continue to disciple the ex-offender forward with establishing consistent personal habits, healthy relationships, spiritual growth and church commitment. One very important sign of Stabilization is when an ex-offender becomes involved in serving others in the community instead of expecting to be served. We offer daily encouragement and assistance until the initial crisis-level needs are resolved. Then we are willing to continue weekly contact on Tuesdays from 9:30am - 11:30am at the Salvation Army facilities located at 1601 Huntsville Rd in Florence, Alabama.
As the National Computer Literacy Coordinator for Outreach Reentry Ministry, Inc it is my opinion that to be successfully in our Redemption Project and Stabilization Aftercare process with Substance Abusers, Ex-Offenders or the Homeless population this involves addressing the needs in all areas of his/her life social, emotional, environment & physical. It is possible for a person to be stable in one area of life, but barely surviving in another.
Please pray for our team as we seek to take our Redemption Project nationwide!!!
Ms Shamka Sledge from Alabama is also the Founder & Executive Director of The Melanin Pride magazine which is the official magazine of Black Wall Street USA. www.blackwallstreet.org/redemptionproject
